Expanding Infrastructure Solutions from Wastewater to Fiber Optics

LadTech, Inc. manufactures HDPE manhole and catch basin adjustment rings in the USA, utilizing recycled HDPE. These rings offer numerous benefits: they are corrosion-proof, cost-effective, durable, eliminate I&I, and are easy to install. LadTech stands behind its products with a 30-year warranty, a testament to their reliability since installations in manhole chimney sections began in 1996.

Since its inception, LadTech has been a vital supplier for municipalities, contractors, and civil engineers involved in stormwater and wastewater infrastructure projects. Historically, our 24″ and 27″ diameter manholes rings have been integral to storm and sanitary applications. However, new opportunities within the buried utilities sector are now emerging, presenting significant growth potential for our business.

We’ve identified a growing demand for our 36-inch rings within the telecommunications sector, specifically for underground fiber optic networks. A recent demonstration with a Wisconsin telecom company, which utilizes 36-inch manholes for below-grade fiber optic junctions, confirmed that our rings significantly improve ease and frequency of access. Burying these critical connections offers superior protection from environmental damage, lowers maintenance expenses, and enhances network aesthetics, ultimately boosting reliability and paving the way for future expansions.

Currently, many telecom companies are collaborating with utility providers to share underground infrastructure by co-locating cables with existing utility lines, companies can reduce both installation costs and regulatory hurdles. This approach also makes it easier to access buried cables for future upgrades or repairs. As demand for data continues to rise, telecom companies are likely to continue investing in underground fiber optics, particularly in areas prone to severe weather or high-density urban centers where aesthetic considerations are more pressing. As technology advances and as regulatory frameworks evolve to support underground deployment, the industry will likely see a significant increase in buried fiber optic networks.

This burgeoning demand in the telecom sector represents a significant shift for LadTech, historically focused on stormwater and wastewater solutions. The potential is vast, as telecom companies increasingly recognize the benefits of our durable, easy-to-install HDPE rings in their underground networks. The 36” diameter rings offer the necessary access and protection that are paramount for reliable fiber optic installations.

LadTech is prepared to adapt to this evolving market, providing customized solutions that can meet the specific needs of telecom providers. We are committed to innovation and quality, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed industry standards. As we venture further into the telecommunications domain, we look forward to forging partnerships that will drive both technological and infrastructural advancements.

Looking ahead, LadTech aims to continue enhancing its offerings, expanding the applications of HDPE rings across various sectors and solidifying its reputation as a leader in infrastructure solutions. By staying responsive to market needs and advancements in technology, we are confident that we can support the growth and resilience of underground networks, ultimately contributing to a more connected and sustainable future.
